AOSSM and AANA welcome the Biologic Association (BA) 2nd Annual Summit to Nashville this July. The BA Summit agenda features renowned faculty delivering state-of-the-art presentations focused on innovative approaches and new orthobiologic ideas, products and applications. Summit participants include all multilevel and multidisciplinary stakeholders comprising a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, regulators, corporate, private equity and venture capitalists.

You may register for only the Biologic Association Summit or add onto your AOSSM-AANA Combined 2021 Annual Meeting registration and attend both!

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Contrast the different types of platelet rich plasma (PRP), including leukocyte-rich and leukocyte-poor PRP, with respect to clinical indication and efficacy.
  2. Compare biologic agents and their indication(s) for treatment of pathologies of tendon, cartilage, ligament, and bone, including subchondral bone lesions.
  3. Describe potential complications associated with the use of biologics for musculoskeletal pathologies and ways in which to avoid them.
